21.2 Plan Provider & Billing Platforms
21.2 Plan Provider & Billing Platforms
All Chariot subscription transactions are managed through third-party billing platforms, which may include:
Apple App Store (iOS devices)
Google Play Store (Android devices)
RevenueCat (cross-platform billing middleware)
By subscribing, you explicitly authorize these providers to charge your account at the applicable billing cycle (weekly, monthly, or annual) and agree to their respective terms, including refund and cancellation policies.
Key Conditions Include:
Apple/Google Terms Apply First:
For in-app purchases made via iOS or Android, Apple and Google’s billing policies govern cancellation, refunds, billing errors, and tax handling. Chariot cannot override or intervene in native platform disputes.Recurring Billing:
Unless cancelled in advance of the renewal date, your plan auto-renews at the stated price. You are responsible for managing subscription status through your app store settings or device account.RevenueCat as Integration Layer:
RevenueCat facilitates receipt validation, cross-device entitlement syncing, and usage tracking. It does not directly charge users, but it handles logic across billing sources to activate or restrict access based on subscription status.
Responsibility for Payment
You are solely responsible for:
Ensuring your payment method remains valid
Monitoring plan renewals and pricing changes
Cancelling on time to avoid unwanted charges
Understanding your store’s local tax, VAT, or surcharge handling
Failure to pay or resolve billing issues may result in immediate loss of access to subscription-only features, reports, or session data.
Jurisdiction and Support
Platform billing disputes must be directed to Apple or Google support.
For entitlement errors or RevenueCat syncing issues, users may contact support@chariotreport.com.
This clause applies globally and survives subscription cancellation to cover all billing-related activity under your account.
21.3 Payment Terms
21.3 Payment Terms
By initiating a subscription to any Chariot plan, you agree to the following binding payment terms:
Recurring Billing Authorization
You authorize Chariot, via its billing partners (Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat), to:
Charge your selected payment method at the published rate on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or annually)
Continue billing automatically until you cancel or downgrade your subscription through the proper platform
Adjust charges as applicable in accordance with tax changes, currency conversion, or plan updates (with prior notice where required)
Billing Cycle and Due Dates
Your billing cycle begins immediately upon subscribing.
Renewal charges occur automatically on the same calendar day as the original purchase, or the last day of the month if no equivalent date exists.
If you cancel mid-cycle, your access continues until the end of the current paid term unless otherwise stated.
Failure to Pay or Renew
If a payment fails due to insufficient funds, expired card, chargeback, or dispute:
Chariot may immediately revoke access to any subscription-gated features, reports, or historical files.
Your account may be downgraded to free-tier status without warning.
Usage data and stored files tied to your subscription may be subject to early deletion or archival based on your plan’s retention rules (see Section 19.3).
If unpaid for more than 14 days, your subscription may be terminated permanently without data recovery guarantees.
No Partial Refunds
Unless required by law or platform policy, partial refunds will not be issued for mid-cycle cancellations, account inactivity, or unused entitlements. This applies to all billing intervals.
Taxation and Currency
All published prices are exclusive of applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST, which may be added based on your billing location.
Currency conversion fees or discrepancies are handled by your bank or card provider and are not the responsibility of Chariot.
Your Responsibilities
You must:
Maintain accurate and valid payment information with your billing provider
Monitor renewal dates and manage cancellations through the appropriate platform (Apple/Google)
Ensure prompt resolution of any charge issues or reversals
This payment clause survives subscription cancellation, account suspension, and is enforceable under the governing law described in Section 37.
21.4 Usage Limits Per Plan
21.4 Usage Limits Per Plan
Each Chariot subscription tier comes with explicit usage allocations that govern access to core features, including image uploads, AI chat interactions, PDF/contract scans, and vehicle report previews. These limits are strictly enforced and may reset on a daily or monthly cycle depending on the user’s active plan.
Examples of Tier-Based Limits (subject to change with notice):
FeatureWeekly PlanMonthly PlanAnnual PlanAI Chat Prompts5/day15/day50/dayImage Uploads2/day10/day30/dayPDF/Contract Scans2/week8/month25/monthReport Previews2/month5/month20/monthStorage Duration30 days90 days180 days
Enterprise plans may negotiate custom limits and SLAs by contract.
Reset Logic
Daily limits reset every 24 hours from the user’s last usage timestamp
Monthly limits reset at the start of each calendar month
Unused daily or monthly quotas do not roll over
If a limit is exceeded, the related feature will return a “limit reached” message, and access will be temporarily restricted until the next reset or plan upgrade
Feature-Specific Enforcement
AI Chat Requests: Includes prompt + response pairings. Excessive use may be rate-limited (see Section 15.11)
Image Uploads: Each uploaded car photo counts toward the plan’s quota, regardless of analysis result or cancellation
PDF Scans: Multi-page contract uploads count as one scan per document, not per page
Report Previews: Includes VIN decoding, summary analysis, or visual risk flags without full report generation
Plan Upgrade Enforcement
Users who exhaust their feature limits will be prompted to:
Wait until reset (daily or monthly)
Upgrade to a higher plan
Purchase add-ons if such extensions are made available
Chariot may auto-detect unusual usage patterns and apply throttling if attempts are made to circumvent usage caps through multiple accounts or device switching (see Sections 20.2 and 20.24).
Fair Use Enforcement
Usage limits are in place to protect system stability, maintain fair access across users, and prevent resource hoarding. Attempted abuse of limit resets, API rerouting, or scripted usage will result in revoked access or account penalties.
This clause survives plan change or cancellation and governs all feature entitlements under active and expired subscriptions.

Fair Use and Abuse Policy
This plan includes moderate but protected access to Chariot’s infrastructure. Attempts to:
Circumvent scan caps
Chain multiple accounts

will result in enforcement under Sections 20 and 15.11. Chariot reserves the right to revoke access or throttle features upon detection of suspicious usage.
This clause governs all entitlements under the Monthly Plan, survives cancellation, and applies to historical usage and any associated user data stored under this tier.
21.7 Annual Plan Terms
21.7 Annual Plan Terms
The $99.99/year Chariot plan is the most comprehensive subscription tier, designed for power users, serious buyers, resellers, or professionals who rely on ongoing vehicle intelligence, contract risk analysis, and high-volume uploads.
This plan unlocks the full suite of platform capabilities, extended usage thresholds, and deeper insights not available in lower tiers. It is also the only tier that includes a limited free trial, subject to platform and app store rules.

If cancelled mid-cycle, access continues through the remainder of the paid term; no prorated refunds
Limitations
❌ Does not include unlimited full vehicle reports — these remain one-time purchases
❌ Cannot be combined with group/team access unless covered by commercial license (see Section 15.12)
Fair Use and Misuse Detection
Chariot monitors annual plan usage to prevent abuse of elevated thresholds
Attempts to share accounts, reroute prompts, or scrape AI outputs at scale are grounds for termination (see Section 20)
Survival and Applicability
This clause applies to all current and former Annual Plan users, governs entitlement boundaries, and survives cancellation or account deletion. All stored data under this tier remains subject to retention and deletion policies in Section 19.
21.8 Upgrade/Downgrade Policy
21.8 Upgrade/Downgrade Policy
Users may change their Chariot subscription plan (e.g., upgrade from Weekly to Monthly, downgrade from Annual to Monthly) at any time, subject to the following rules and platform-specific constraints:
Effective Date of Plan Change
App Store / Google Play billing rules apply:
Upgrades (e.g., Weekly → Monthly) may take effect immediately with a prorated charge, or at the end of the current period, depending on platform
Downgrades (e.g., Monthly → Weekly) typically apply after the current billing cycle ends
If purchased through RevenueCat or third-party checkout:
Upgrades are applied upon confirmation and may trigger immediate access to higher-tier limits
Downgrades queue for next renewal cycle
Plan Entitlements and Lock-In
Chariot guarantees all plan features and limits displayed during checkout for the duration of the billing cycle in which the plan was purchased
Changes to plan contents, prices, or entitlements will not apply retroactively to active subscriptions
If a legacy plan is no longer offered, you may not be able to return to it once downgraded or cancelled
Trial → Paid Conversion
Users on a 3-day Annual Plan trial (see Section 21.7) will automatically convert to paid unless they cancel at least 24 hours prior to expiration
Cancelling during a trial forfeits all plan entitlements immediately, including early access features and higher usage limits
Partial Refunds
Chariot does not offer partial refunds for mid-cycle downgrades or unused time
Cancelled or downgraded plans remain active until the end of the billing term
Subscription Management
All subscription changes must be made via the original purchase platform:
App Store: via device Settings → Subscriptions
Google Play: via Play Store → Subscriptions
RevenueCat or Chariot Web Checkout: via in-app Account Settings
Support cannot override App Store or Play Store billing policies
Abuse Monitoring
Frequent switching between plans to exploit tier-based feature resets or trial loopholes will result in:
Plan change throttling
Loss of eligibility for future trials
Possible account suspension under Sections 20 and 15.11
This clause governs all subscription changes and applies across all Chariot billing tiers. It survives account cancellation and platform transitions.
21.9 Cancellation Policy
21.9 Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your Chariot subscription at any time by managing your active subscriptions through the platform on which you originally subscribed. Chariot does not have the ability to cancel or modify your subscription internally due to App Store and Google Play billing restrictions.
Where to Cancel:
Apple App Store:
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device and select Chariot to cancel.Google Play Store:
Open the Play Store > Menu > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, then select Chariot and cancel.RevenueCat or Direct Checkout (if applicable):
Use the Account Settings within the Chariot app or website and follow the cancellation link provided.
Important Terms:
Cancellation will stop future renewals, but does not refund the current billing period.
Your plan remains active until the end of your current subscription cycle, unless cancelled during a trial period (see Section 21.7).
Chariot cannot override billing policies, issue refunds, or cancel your subscription on your behalf due to platform lock-in and third-party billing rules.
Trial Cancellations:
If you signed up under a 3-day free trial, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
Cancelling a trial immediately revokes access to premium features.
Non-Refundable Access:
Chariot subscriptions are non-refundable once billed, including in cases of:
Inactivity
Forgotten cancellations
Perceived underuse of the platform
For refund exceptions, you must request directly through Apple or Google. Chariot does not control refund approval decisions made by app store platforms.
This policy survives account deletion and applies to all users, regardless of tier, location, or method of signup.
21.10 Refund Policy
21.10 Refund Policy
All Chariot subscription purchases are final and non-refundable once processed. Due to platform-level billing systems (Apple App Store, Google Play), Chariot cannot issue refunds directly and has no control over refund decisions.
Where to Request a Refund:
PlatformRefund ProcessApple App StoreVisit reportaproblem.apple.com and log inSelect your Chariot subscription and request a refundGoogle PlayVisit play.google.com, select Chariotand submit a refund request through the order history

Inactivity or infrequent usage
Disagreement with plan limits after purchase
Trial users charged due to late cancellation
Platform outages or third-party service delays
Abuse of the platform’s trial, upload, or AI tools (see Section 20.10)
RevenueCat or Web Checkout Users:
If your subscription was billed via a non-app store checkout (e.g. through Stripe via RevenueCat), contact support@chariotreport.com with:
Your original purchase email

Refund eligibility will follow the same strict no-refund policy, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
No Pro-Rated Refunds
Chariot does not issue partial refunds for:
Mid-cycle cancellations
Downgrades between plans
Switching platforms (e.g., iOS → Android)
Appeals and Disputes
If you believe you were charged in error, your only recourse is through the Apple or Google billing dispute resolution mechanisms. Chariot is not a billing agent and cannot intervene on your behalf with those platforms.
This refund policy applies universally and survives account cancellation or removal.
21.11 Restore Purchases
21.11 Restore Purchases
If you have previously purchased a Chariot subscription on your device using the Apple App Store or Google Play, you may restore access to your plan by tapping the “Restore Purchases” button inside the app. This initiates a secure check with your app store account through RevenueCat, which validates and reinstates your prior entitlements.
When to Use Restore:
After reinstalling the Chariot app
When switching devices but using the same Apple ID or Google account
If your subscription is active, but premium features appear locked
After a failed receipt sync or entitlement refresh
What Happens When You Restore:
The app will communicate with Apple/Google via RevenueCat
If a valid, unexpired subscription is found, your plan tier (Weekly, Monthly, Annual) will be reinstated immediately
You will not be double-billed, and your original billing cycle will remain unchanged
Access to AI features, usage limits, and stored reports will be restored in accordance with your plan
Important Conditions:
Restores only work if:
You're signed in with the same Apple/Google account used during the original purchase
Your original subscription is still active and not expired or refunded
If no valid subscription is found, no access will be granted
Restores do not reactivate cancelled plans or expired free trials
Limitations:
Cannot transfer subscriptions between platforms (e.g., Apple → Google or vice versa)
Manual billing systems (e.g., Stripe) do not support restore; contact support@chariotreport.com for assistance
Restore is not a refund tool and does not modify your billing cycle or plan tier
Support Note:
If the Restore button fails to reactivate your plan despite a valid purchase, contact support@chariotreport.com with:
Proof of purchase (App Store/Google receipt)
App version
Platform (iOS or Android)
We will assist with verifying your entitlement manually via RevenueCat if needed.
This clause applies to all platform-bound subscriptions and survives app reinstall, logout, and device transitions.
21.12 Trial Abuse Prevention
21.12 Trial Abuse Prevention
Chariot enforces strict controls to prevent abuse of free trials, particularly the 3-day trial associated with the Annual Plan. The intent of these trials is to allow new users to evaluate Chariot’s premium capabilities before committing to a paid subscription.
Prohibited Trial Abuse Includes:
Creating multiple Chariot accounts to repeatedly access trial periods
Using device resets, emulator environments, or system re-installs to regain eligibility
Sharing trial-enabled accounts with others
Engaging in high-volume usage or scraping behavior during a trial to extract report data without payment
Initiating refunds immediately after trial conversion, then reattempting a new trial
Detection & Enforcement Measures:
Chariot may monitor and flag trial abuse using:
Device fingerprinting and account linking
Usage pattern recognition (e.g., repeated trials from the same IP or MAC address)
Behavioral anomaly detection
RevenueCat subscription lifecycle tracking
If abuse is detected, the following actions may occur without notice:
ViolationConsequenceDuplicate account trial circumventionImmediate trial revocation on all linked accountsDevice-level exploit attemptsFeature bans or full account suspensionRepeat refund/trial abuseApple/Google report for ToS violation or fraudCommercial scraping or resale during trialPermanent ban and legal review under Section 20
One Trial Per User, Per Device
You are eligible for only one free trial per lifetime unless explicitly extended by Chariot support. Even if you cancel before the trial ends, future trial access will be permanently blocked on that account and device.
Platform Enforcement
Abuse cases involving Apple or Google accounts may result in:
Platform-level trial ineligibility
Loss of refund privileges through App Store or Google Play
Flagging for developer policy review by Apple/Google, beyond Chariot’s control
No Appeals for Confirmed Trial Abuse
Once abuse is confirmed through device/account correlation or behavioral analysis, no appeal or exception will be granted. All decisions are final and non-reversible.
This clause applies to all free trial features, regardless of platform, and survives account deletion or reinstallation attempts.
21.13 Auto-Renewal Notice
21.13 Auto-Renewal Notice
All Chariot subscriptions are subject to automatic renewal at the end of each billing period unless explicitly canceled by the user at least 24 hours before the next scheduled charge.
Key Terms of Auto-Renewal:
Subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Annual) automatically renew using the same plan tier and payment method unless canceled in time
Renewal charges are processed via the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Chariot’s authorized billing provider (e.g., RevenueCat)
The renewal rate will be the current published price for that tier at the time of renewal, which may differ from your original sign-up rate
Notice and Disclosure:
Chariot clearly discloses auto-renewal during checkout, including:
Plan frequency (e.g., “Billed Weekly” or “Renews Monthly”)
Total price including taxes/fees (where applicable)
Platform-specific billing terms
Users are reminded of auto-renewal in the Account Settings screen and subscription management page
User Responsibilities:
It is your sole responsibility to track your renewal date and cancel before renewal if you do not wish to be charged
Chariot is not liable for charges incurred due to failure to cancel on time
Cancelling a subscription after the renewal date does not entitle you to a refund for the current period
How to Cancel Auto-Renewal:
PlatformHow to CancelApple App StoreGo to iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions, then cancel ChariotGoogle PlayOpen Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions, locate Chariot, and cancelRevenueCatOpen Chariot app → Account > Manage Subscription, follow cancel instructions
No Manual Overrides:
Chariot cannot manually stop auto-renewals on your behalf due to platform limitations. You must cancel through the original purchase platform.
Trial Conversions and Renewals:
If you signed up under a free trial, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid automatic conversion to a paid plan.
This clause applies globally to all Chariot subscription tiers, persists across app reinstalls, and survives account deletion until the platform billing relationship is severed.
21.14 Fair Use Monitoring
21.14 Fair Use Monitoring
Chariot reserves the right to monitor subscription usage patterns and enforce Fair Use limits across all plans to maintain platform stability, prevent abuse, and ensure equitable access to AI resources.
What Constitutes Excessive Use:
Examples of activity that may trigger fair use enforcement include, but are not limited to:
Submitting dozens of image uploads or document scans in rapid succession
Using automation, bots, or third-party scripts to simulate manual activity
Consuming unusually high token volume within a short window (e.g., multi-threaded prompt flooding)
Attempting to resell, redistribute, or export reports at scale using a consumer-tier account
Accessing the system in a way that mimics commercial or enterprise use without the appropriate license
Enforcement Actions Chariot May Take:
TriggerResponseUsage exceeds 2–5x average tier limitSoft throttling (e.g., slower response times, temporary cooldowns)Suspected automated scrapingImmediate rate caps and behavior reviewSustained overuse across daysIn-app message suggesting plan upgrade or requiring manual approvalBypassing feature limitsFeature restrictions or permanent suspension (see Section 20)
Soft vs Hard Limits:
Soft Limits: Token or request slowdown, visual warnings, system cooldowns
Hard Limits: Session blocks, report generation lockout, suspension flags
Plan Upgrade Requirement:
If your usage indicates enterprise-grade or developer-level activity, Chariot may require that you upgrade to a commercial or custom plan in order to continue access.
Transparency & Notice:
Chariot will make reasonable efforts to inform users in-app before suspending or restricting usage
However, immediate enforcement may occur without prior notice if activity jeopardizes platform performance or violates Section 20
No Refund for Overuse Lockouts:
If your usage is capped or blocked due to fair use enforcement, you are not entitled to a refund for that billing period. Sustained fair use violations may void renewal eligibility.
This clause applies across all subscription tiers, including trial and paid accounts, and survives account suspension or deletion for post-review purposes.
21.15 Account Suspension for Nonpayment
21.15 Account Suspension for Nonpayment
If Chariot is unable to successfully process your recurring subscription payment—whether due to expired payment methods, insufficient funds, or billing platform errors—your account may be subject to immediate downgrade, service interruption, or full suspension.
Triggers for Suspension:
Your card is declined or expired
Your Apple/Google account fails to authorize renewal
RevenueCat or platform partner reports failed billing status
A chargeback or payment dispute is filed
What Happens Upon Nonpayment:
EventConsequencePayment fails (1st attempt)Plan downgraded to free/basic tier with usage restrictionsPayment fails (after retries)AI features disabled, report access locked, session limits resetPayment fails > 3 daysAccount flagged for inactivity suspensionChargeback issuedImmediate termination and potential platform ban
Reactivation Process:
To restore access, you must:
Update your payment method through Apple, Google, or the in-app restore screen
Resolve any outstanding billing issues (e.g., open disputes or invalid credentials)
Wait for RevenueCat or the app store to confirm payment clearance
Chariot will automatically re-enable features if payment is verified within a 7-day grace window
Important Conditions:
Past generated reports may be hidden during a suspension but are recoverable upon reactivation
Suspension does not cancel your subscription—you remain liable for charges unless manually canceled
Repeated failed payments may restrict future subscription eligibility
Chariot is not responsible for missed usage during periods of account suspension
This clause applies globally to all subscription tiers and survives app reinstallation or device change.
21.16 Device Restrictions
21.16 Device Restrictions
Chariot subscriptions are licensed per user account and intended for individual use on a limited number of personal devices. To protect service integrity, platform fairness, and prevent abuse, the following device-related restrictions apply:
✅ Permitted Use
You may access your active subscription on:
One primary mobile device (e.g., smartphone or tablet)
One additional backup or secondary device (e.g., tablet or new phone after upgrade)
Occasional device switching is allowed as long as access is not shared or systematically abused
❌ Prohibited Use
Your plan may be voided, downgraded, or suspended if Chariot detects:
Simultaneous login and usage from multiple unrelated devices
Sharing of your login credentials with friends, family, or teams
Sideloading or unauthorized APK installs on emulators or modified environments
Accessing the same account from more than 2–3 distinct device IDs in a 30-day period

Device Reset or Upgrade
If you change phones or reinstall Chariot:
Use the Restore Purchases button to resume your subscription
Access may be temporarily restricted while your new device is fingerprinted and validated
Commercial or Team Use
Multi-user access across a fleet of devices (e.g., dealerships, repair shops, content teams) requires a commercial license. Individual plans may not be used to support group workflows.
This restriction survives app reinstallation, logout, or subscription expiration. Violation may result in data loss, locked features, or permanent removal from Chariot.
21.17 Geographic Restrictions
21.17 Geographic Restrictions
Chariot reserves the right to restrict subscription availability, pricing, feature sets, or access based on a user's country, app store territory, or local legal requirements. Not all plans or services are guaranteed to be available in every region.
Regional Availability
Subscription tiers (e.g., Weekly, Monthly, Annual) may vary by country or app store region
Certain features, AI capabilities, or report types may be disabled in countries with:
Export control restrictions
Data sovereignty laws
Sanctions or embargoed status
Some regions may only offer basic-tier access, with premium features unavailable
Payment and Pricing Differences
Prices shown in-app are adjusted for local currency and tax via Apple or Google
Some countries may reflect higher pricing due to local tax (e.g., VAT, GST) or app store surcharges
Chariot reserves the right to exclude free trials or adjust discount offerings by region
Geo-Detection and Enforcement
Your country and eligibility may be determined based on:
App store billing location
Device geolocation at signup
Payment method region
IP address and time zone
Attempts to bypass geographic restrictions via VPN, fake billing addresses, or altered app installs may result in:
Plan removal or denial
Account suspension (Section 20 enforcement)
Refund ineligibility
Relocation or Travel
If you relocate to a different country:
Your current plan remains active, but access to region-specific features may be limited
You may need to cancel and resubscribe in the new country’s app store to maintain service
This clause applies globally and is subject to periodic updates based on changing regulatory environments or Chariot’s commercial expansion roadmap.
21.18 Change of Plan Terms
21.18 Change of Plan Terms
Chariot reserves the right to modify subscription pricing, usage limits, or feature entitlements at any time, provided that at least 30 days’ notice is given to affected users. These changes may reflect:
Platform upgrades
Infrastructure cost changes
App store policy shifts
New regulatory compliance requirements
Notice & Communication
Users will be notified of upcoming changes via:
In-app banners
Email (if available)
App Store/Google Play terms update notifications
Notices will specify:
The effective date of the change
The new pricing or usage terms
Options to cancel, upgrade, or switch plans
Grandfathered Access
Existing subscribers may retain legacy pricing or entitlements for a limited grace period
Legacy access is not guaranteed indefinitely and may be phased out with advance notice
Users may voluntarily migrate to updated plans at any time
Plan Tier Restructuring
Chariot may:
Rename or reclassify plans
Merge tiers (e.g., combining Monthly and Annual into a Pro tier)
Split features into add-ons or usage bundles
Introduce optional boosts or expanded quotas under the same plan
No Retroactive Refunds
If you do not accept updated terms:
You may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect
Refunds are not issued for unused time on the current plan once changes are implemented
Continued use of the service after the change constitutes acceptance of the new terms
This clause applies globally and survives account suspension, feature freezes, or app store de-listings. Chariot retains full discretion in determining the timing and scope of pricing updates.
21.19 No Resale of Subscription Access
21.19 No Resale of Subscription Access
Your Chariot subscription is licensed for personal, individual use only. You may not resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or bundle your subscription access, login credentials, or features to third parties under any circumstance.
Prohibited Activities Include:
Sharing access to your account as part of a service package or consulting offer
Selling usage of your chat sessions, reports, or AI outputs to others
Embedding Chariot’s capabilities into another app, site, or dashboard
Offering “Chariot-powered” reports or analysis under a different brand
Allowing team members, clients, or customers to use your personal subscription
Commercial Licensing Requirement
If you wish to use Chariot in a business, research, or resale capacity, you must:
Obtain explicit written approval from Chariot
Sign a commercial licensing agreement
Comply with all data handling, billing, and attribution requirements for enterprise use
Failure to follow this process will result in:
Immediate account termination
Loss of access to stored files and reports
Possible legal enforcement under intellectual property misuse clauses
No White Label or Proxy Use
You may not:
Disguise Chariot as another tool through proxy prompts
Remove, alter, or hide Chariot branding in any shared output
Automate Chariot for third-party access via middleware or APIs
This clause survives cancellation, and applies to all usage—whether during trial, active subscription, or plan-limited access. Violations may trigger enforcement under Sections 20 and 25.
21.20 Discounts & Promotions
21.20 Discounts & Promotions
Chariot may offer time-limited promotions, onboarding incentives, or discount codes (e.g., 50% off your first month after purchasing a vehicle report) to encourage user activation and conversion. These offers are governed by the following conditions:
Eligibility & Terms
Promotions may be:
Automatically applied based on user activity (e.g., report purchase)
Distributed via email, in-app banners, or partner codes
Limited to new users or first-time subscribers
Each offer includes:
A defined expiration date
A clear benefit (e.g., price reduction, extra credits)
Restrictions on reuse, transfer, or stacking with other offers
Non-Transferability
Discounts are non-transferable and may only be redeemed by the account that qualified for the offer
Attempting to share, resell, or redeem the same promotion across multiple accounts may result in:
Offer invalidation
Account review or feature suspension
One-Time Use
Unless explicitly stated:
Promotions are one-time only
Multiple redemptions from the same device, IP, or payment method may be blocked
Promotional Expiry
Expired offers cannot be reactivated, extended, or retroactively applied
It is your responsibility to redeem discounts before the expiration date
Promotional Abuse
Chariot reserves the right to revoke any promotional benefit if it determines that:
The offer was used deceptively (e.g., multiple signups from the same user)
Systematic abuse patterns are detected
The promotion interferes with system integrity or violates app store policies
All discounts are optional, revocable, and subject to change. Chariot is not obligated to offer price-matching or extend expired incentives. This section survives termination of your subscription or account.
21.21 RevenueCat Policy Compliance
21.21 RevenueCat Policy Compliance
All subscription features, billing operations, and access logic within Chariot are managed and enforced via RevenueCat, a third-party subscription infrastructure provider. By using Chariot’s paid plans, you agree to comply with both:
Chariot’s internal subscription terms, and
RevenueCat’s SDK-level enforcement policies
Binding Integration
Chariot uses RevenueCat to:
Manage entitlements and plan validation
Process and verify purchases across Apple and Google platforms
Enforce usage caps and plan-based gating logic in real time
The RevenueCat system is considered authoritative for:
Determining whether a plan is active
Verifying trial eligibility
Handling plan upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations
Resolving conflicting purchase states
SDK Enforcement
You consent to RevenueCat’s automated enforcement methods, including:
Suspension of features if payment fails
Blocking restoration attempts from unauthorized devices
Delaying access during purchase validation windows
Cancelling entitlements for refunded or revoked transactions
Policy Updates
RevenueCat may update its platform logic or enforcement criteria in response to:
App store requirements
Fraud prevention initiatives
SDK upgrades or deprecations
You are bound by these updates to the extent that they impact your access to Chariot features.
No Direct Support via RevenueCat
All billing questions, refund requests, or subscription disputes must be directed to:
Apple App Store or Google Play, for payment issues
Chariot support for feature access or entitlement questions
RevenueCat does not provide end-user customer support and is not responsible for resolving disputes directly.
This clause survives plan cancellation or account termination and applies to all subscriptions initiated through Chariot’s mobile app or linked app store profiles.
21.22 Feature Gating
21.22 Feature Gating
Chariot reserves the right to limit access to specific features based on your subscription tier. Some advanced capabilities are only available to users on Monthly, Annual, or Enterprise plans. This access model, known as feature gating, is applied to ensure fair platform usage, control system load, and align access with pricing tiers.
Examples of Gated Features
Features currently or potentially gated to higher-tier plans include:
Deep Search — Expanded contextual reasoning across multiple documents or queries
Condition Trends — AI-driven timelines of vehicle wear, repair probability, or visual inconsistencies
Historical Insight — Pattern detection based on past uploads, prior reports, or comparative vehicle analysis
Report Downloading — High-resolution PDF exports of multi-section insights
Clause Breakdown — Detailed legal commentary or markup for uploaded contracts
Extended Chat Memory — Larger token/session windows for AI conversation continuity
Early Access Tools — Beta features or experimental models for power users
Dynamic Gating
Feature gating is not static and may change over time based on:
Improvements in AI capabilities
Infrastructure costs
Tier popularity and demand
Abuse risk or content complexity
Chariot may introduce new features as gated, or reclassify existing features, with or without notice, based on operational needs.
Visibility & Transparency
In-app, gated features will be:
Labeled clearly with plan requirements
Disabled with a tooltip or modal explaining required upgrade
Accessible via upgrade prompts directing users to eligible plans
No Refunds for Plan Mismatch
If you attempt to access a feature outside your current plan, access will be blocked until you upgrade
No refunds or partial credits will be issued for users who expected access without upgrading
This section survives subscription cancellation or change. Gated features remain Chariot’s intellectual property and are licensed conditionally based on payment tier.
21.23 Feature Availability During Downtime
21.23 Feature Availability During Downtime
In the event of temporary outages, infrastructure failures, or third-party service disruptions (e.g., RevenueCat, app store APIs, or authentication providers), Chariot will attempt to maintain core app functionality while acknowledging potential feature degradation.
Subscription Validation Disruptions
If Chariot is unable to verify your active subscription due to a temporary outage in the RevenueCat service or related platform, the following may apply:
Basic app access (e.g., onboarding, static pages, non-gated UI) will remain available
Subscription-gated features (e.g., AI chat, image analysis, PDF scans) may be temporarily inaccessible or limited to fallback behavior
Session or upload limits may be restricted until validation is restored
Cached entitlements may provide grace period access (e.g., 24–48 hours) based on last-known status
No Compensation for Temporary Unavailability
Short-term degradation of features due to upstream provider outages does not entitle users to refunds or extensions
Chariot is not liable for missed usage windows, report access delays, or disrupted session continuity caused by third-party service failures
Emergency Patching & Failover
Where possible, Chariot may:
Fallback to local storage of purchase entitlements
Display transparent messaging in-app regarding limited access
Throttle non-essential services to maintain stability
Resume full functionality automatically when third-party services recover
Exclusions & Limits
This clause does not apply to planned maintenance (which will be scheduled and announced), nor does it apply to permanent feature removals or deprecated functionality.
This policy survives plan expiration and governs Chariot’s handling of subscription logic and feature availability during partial system outages.
21.24 Multiple Subscription Ownership
21.24 Multiple Subscription Ownership
Users may not subscribe to or hold multiple overlapping Chariot subscription plans on the same account, across linked accounts, or on the same device for the purpose of increasing usage caps or bypassing plan limits.
Prohibited Behaviors
Subscribing to both Weekly and Monthly plans simultaneously
Attempting to create multiple App Store/Google accounts to enable stacked plan benefits
Using multiple devices tied to the same Chariot profile to alternate plan activations
Registering duplicate accounts to rotate trial access or reinitiate lapsed plans
Enforcement Actions
If overlapping or stacked subscriptions are detected, Chariot may:
Automatically downgrade the account to a single active plan
Invalidate secondary or conflicting entitlements
Reset usage counters based on the active plan tier
Flag the account for abuse review under Section 20
App Store Enforcement
Apple and Google may also block or reject attempts to stack subscriptions through their billing layers. Refunds for overlapping purchases must be requested directly through the app store provider, not Chariot.
No Stackable Entitlements
Chariot does not support:
Combining upload, scan, or chat limits across plans
Unlocking features exclusive to one tier by purchasing another concurrently
Transferring unused entitlements from one plan to another
This clause survives account changes and applies to all historical and active plan attempts. Violations may result in plan cancellation, feature suspension, or permanent downgrade without refund.
21.25 Transferability of Plans
21.25 Transferability of Plans
Chariot subscriptions are non-transferable and are permanently tied to the original app store account (Apple ID or Google Account) used to initiate the purchase. Subscriptions may not be moved, reassigned, or shared across platforms or between user profiles.
Platform Lock-In
A subscription purchased via the Apple App Store cannot be transferred to a Google Play account, and vice versa.
Changing devices does not transfer the subscription unless the new device uses the same app store account.
Account Lock-In
Subscriptions are also bound to the Chariot user account associated with the app store ID at time of purchase.
You may not transfer subscription access to another Chariot user account, even if you use the same device or payment method.
No Cross-Platform Credit
Chariot does not offer credits, refunds, or pro-rated balances for users attempting to switch platforms mid-subscription. If you change mobile ecosystems:
You must cancel your active subscription on the original platform
Then re-subscribe on the new platform at current rates and plan terms
Any previous entitlements will be lost unless manually restored within the same store account
Exceptions
Platform transfers are only permitted under:
Explicit written approval from Chariot
Technical error or billing issue confirmed by support
Enterprise migration processes under a separate agreement
This policy exists to comply with app store billing rules and protect the integrity of Chariot’s entitlement system. It applies to all plans, including trials, Weekly, Monthly, Annual, and promotional tiers.
21.26 Downtime Compensation Policy
21.26 Downtime Compensation Policy
If Chariot’s subscription services become unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours due to internal system failure or verified third-party infrastructure disruption (e.g., RevenueCat, Supabase, AI engine), affected users may be eligible for limited compensation, such as service credits or time extensions.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for compensation:
The outage must last more than 48 consecutive hours, and
It must prevent access to core paid features (e.g., AI chat, uploads, PDF analysis) across all users or a large subset of a specific platform
The issue must be confirmed by Chariot’s system logs or status reports
Types of Compensation
Compensation, if offered, may include:
Time extensions on the current subscription period (e.g., +3 days)
Service credit toward a future billing cycle
One-time feature unlocks to offset interrupted access (e.g., bonus scans or chats)
All credits are issued at Chariot’s discretion and are non-cash, non-transferable, and not guaranteed.
Exclusions
You are not eligible for downtime compensation if:
The issue was caused by user-side problems (e.g., poor internet, outdated app version)
Your plan was inactive or expired during the affected period
The downtime was announced as scheduled maintenance
The outage affected non-subscription or bonus-only features
Claim Process
To request compensation, users must:
Contact support@chariotreport.com within 7 days of the incident
Include relevant timestamps, email address, and affected feature(s)
Cooperate with basic troubleshooting or confirmation steps
Chariot reserves the right to decline compensation if abuse or false claims are suspected. This clause survives plan cancellation and applies to all subscription tiers.
21.27 Cross-Platform Login Support
21.27 Cross-Platform Login Support
Chariot supports cross-platform login via email, Google, or Apple OAuth, allowing users to access their account across both iOS and Android devices. However, subscription billing and entitlement recognition remain tied to the original app store used for purchase.
What Cross-Platform Login Enables
You may sign into Chariot on any device using your verified email or OAuth method
Your vehicle reports, uploads, and chat history will sync across devices
Your account profile and app settings will persist when switching between Android and iOS
What It Does Not Do
Your subscription plan does not transfer between Apple App Store and Google Play
You cannot activate features tied to your Apple subscription on an Android device, or vice versa
Plan entitlements are enforced through the app store’s billing system (via RevenueCat), not solely through your login
Practical Example
If you subscribe on iOS using your Apple ID and log in later on Android with the same email, you can access your account—but paid features will not be unlocked unless you also subscribe on Google Play
You may only restore purchases within the same app store ecosystem
Recommendations
For cross-device access, always use the same login method (e.g., email/OAuth)
For full plan portability, stay within one app store platform
If switching platforms permanently, cancel your original subscription and re-subscribe on the new platform
This clause ensures login consistency while preserving app store billing compliance. It applies to all users, regardless of plan tier or trial status.
21.28 Refund Fraud Prevention
21.28 Refund Fraud Prevention
Chariot actively monitors for refund abuse and chargeback fraud. Users who engage in repeated, excessive, or deceptive refund behavior may have their accounts suspended, blocked, or permanently terminated without notice.
Examples of Refund Abuse
Submitting multiple chargebacks through Apple or Google while continuing to use the service
Repeatedly requesting refunds after accessing premium features
Exploiting trial periods followed by charge disputes
Using multiple accounts to rotate subscriptions and demand refunds
Attempting to reverse payment after receiving full reports, scans, or AI usage
Enforcement Actions
If refund fraud is detected, Chariot may:
Suspend or ban the associated user account
Deny future refunds regardless of claim justification
Block the device ID or app instance from future usage
Report activity to Apple, Google, or payment processors for platform-level enforcement
Refund Appeals
Legitimate refund requests must:
Be submitted directly through Apple App Store or Google Play in accordance with their policies
Include proof of issue (e.g., billing error, app crash logs)
Not originate from a previously flagged account or device
Chariot cannot override platform-level refund decisions, but reserves the right to deny future access based on past abuse.
Permanent Risk Flagging
Accounts involved in verified refund fraud may be marked internally and may:
Lose access to report history and stored uploads
Be denied future trials, discounts, or promotions
Be restricted from re-subscribing even under new credentials
This policy applies retroactively to all refund activity. Chariot takes platform integrity seriously and treats abuse as a violation of commercial terms under Sections 20 and 21.
21.29 Paid Report Integration
21.29 Paid Report Integration
Chariot’s paid subscriptions do not include full vehicle reports by default. These reports—priced between $15 to $50 depending on depth—are treated as one-time in-app purchases (IAPs) and are billed separately from Weekly, Monthly, or Annual plans.
Subscription ≠ Report Ownership
Subscribing to a Chariot plan does not grant access to standard, premium, or Max Insight vehicle reports
Reports must be purchased individually unless your plan or promotional bundle explicitly includes one or more free reports
IAP Structure
Reports are priced and billed via Apple or Google in-app purchases
Each report purchase unlocks permanent access to that specific report, stored under your account
No recurring billing applies to standalone report purchases
You may view your purchased reports on any device by logging into the same account
Bundled Exceptions
Some subscription or promotional offers may include a report credit, such as:
50% off your first Monthly plan after purchasing a report
Free Max Insight report for Annual subscribers (if stated in promo terms)
Trial bundles that unlock one report during onboarding
Such exceptions will be clearly stated at time of purchase. If no report entitlement is mentioned, none is included.
No Cross-Application Credit
Report purchases cannot be substituted for subscription time
Subscription plans cannot be refunded in exchange for unused report access
Refund Independence
Refunds for reports and subscriptions are processed separately via Apple or Google
Purchasing a report does not entitle you to a refund for your subscription, or vice versa
This clause ensures transparency between recurring plan value and one-time premium report purchases. It applies to all users and plan tiers unless otherwise specified in a promotional agreement.
21.30 Clause Survival
21.30 Clause Survival
All terms outlined in Section 21 regarding subscriptions—including but not limited to payment obligations, usage limits, refund restrictions, abuse policies, and feature gating—survive cancellation, plan downgrade, or account deletion.
Post-Termination Enforcement
Even after a user:
Cancels a subscription
Downgrades to a free tier
Deletes their account
Chariot reserves the right to:
Audit prior usage for abuse, fraud, or violation of subscription terms
Enforce payment obligations or collect unpaid balances
Restrict future access or trial eligibility based on historical behavior
Retain logs and receipts tied to subscription activity for billing, support, and dispute resolution
Retroactive Application
This survival clause authorizes Chariot to:
Apply updated enforcement measures retroactively during fraud audits or refund abuse reviews
Deny reinstatement or block re-subscription if prior terms were violated, regardless of current account status
Data & Entitlement Persistence
Any previously purchased reports remain accessible if the user logs in again
Chariot may retain billing records and support logs per its data retention policy even after account deletion
Legacy plan details may be used to determine eligibility for pricing, upgrades, or compensations
This clause remains in effect indefinitely to support fair use, financial integrity, and platform governance.
